Terms of use
These Terms of Use explain how you can use Verdorra (verdorra.com) to request help finding a landscape design-build pro in the U.S. Read them before you submit information or use the site.
1) Who we are and what Verdorra does
Verdorra is a free online service that helps homeowners connect with landscape design-build professionals. We do not do landscaping work, construction, or design ourselves.
When you use Verdorra, you may share details about your yard goals. We use that information to help you find and communicate with participating landscape design-build pros who may be able to help. A “pro” is an independent business, not an employee or agent of Verdorra.
Important: Verdorra is not a landscaper, contractor, engineer, arborist, attorney, or financial advisor. We provide general information and a matching/guide experience, not professional services.
2) Using the site (your responsibilities)
You agree to use Verdorra only for lawful purposes. You also agree not to misuse the site (for example, by trying to access private systems, spam forms, or copy content in a way that violates rights).
When you submit a request, you must provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. If your information changes, you should update it where possible.
You also agree not to submit sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers or financial account details. If you choose to include project details, keep them factual and focused on your yard goals.
3) Matching and pro participation (no guarantees)
Verdorra may help you find landscape design-build pros that match your general area and project preferences. Matching is based on the information you provide and the pros’ availability and service areas.
We do not guarantee that you will receive any specific number of responses, that a pro will accept your project, or that any project will be completed. Costs, timelines, permits, and design choices vary by yard size, materials, site conditions, local rules, and season.
If you choose to move forward with a pro, that relationship is between you and the pro. Verdorra does not control the work, the price, or the outcome.
4) Fees and payments
Verdorra is free for homeowners to use. If a participating pro chooses to work with you, their fees and payment terms are set by them.
Some pros may have a fixed participation fee with Verdorra to be part of the matching/guide experience. This is between the pro and Verdorra and is not a percentage of your project cost.
Any pricing you receive will come from the pro you contact. You should ask for a written estimate or contract that clearly describes scope (what is included), exclusions (what is not included), payment schedule, and any warranty or maintenance terms.
5) Safety, permits, and site checks
Yard work often involves local rules. Before any physical work begins, you should confirm that required permits are obtained (if applicable) and that any utility-locates are completed.
We encourage you to verify what your area requires. Many projects can be affected by underground utilities, easements, HOA rules, local codes, and drainage/grading considerations (grading means shaping the ground to meet a goal; drainage means managing water movement across the site).
Also, always verify that the pro is properly licensed and insured for the work they plan to do. This helps protect you and your property.
6) Design-build basics and “in writing” confirmation
Design-build is a combined approach where a single professional (or team) handles both design and building. That can include softscape (plants and living materials like trees, shrubs, and lawn) and hardscape (non-living features like patios, walkways, walls, and outdoor structures). Some projects may also include drip irrigation (a water system that delivers water to plants with lines and emitters).
Because every yard is different, you should confirm the design and scope in writing before work starts. Ask the pro to clearly describe what will be installed, where it will be placed, what materials will be used, and how changes will be handled.
Before signing anything, review the full written scope, schedule expectations, and the total price (including any assumptions). Never rely only on verbal statements.
7) Disclaimers (important)
Verdorra provides a matching and information experience. We do not guarantee any outcome, including design fit, cost results, plant or material performance, or project completion.
We also do not provide legal, engineering, drainage/grading, arborist, structural, or financial advice. If you need professional advice for a specific issue, speak with a qualified professional in your area.
You are responsible for verifying pro credentials and any rules that apply to your property, including licenses, insurance, permits, and utility-locates. If you proceed with a pro, do so at your own discretion.
8) User content and communications
You may submit information to Verdorra (for example, contact details and project notes). By submitting, you represent that you have the right to share that information and that it is not knowingly false or misleading.
Verdorra may use the information you provide to facilitate matching, improve the service, and respond to questions you send through the site.
You may receive communications related to your request. Communications can include updates, requests for clarification, and messages from a pro after matching. Review messages carefully and confirm details directly with the pro.
9) Intellectual property
All content on the Verdorra site—such as text, graphics, logos, and layout—is owned by Verdorra or used with permission and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view and use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from Verdorra content without our permission.
10) Privacy
Our privacy practices are explained in our Privacy Policy. That policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can manage your information.
By using the site, you agree that Verdorra may process your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
11) Contact consent and communications
When you submit a form or otherwise contact Verdorra, you consent to receive communications from us about your request and to help you use the site.
If a participating pro contacts you, those communications are between you and the pro. Verdorra does not control the content of messages sent by third parties.
12) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Verdorra and its affiliates, partners, and service providers are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site.
Verdorra is not liable for issues related to a pro’s work, delays, errors, omissions, product performance, or contract disputes between you and a pro.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability in ways that are not permitted under applicable law.
13) Termination and changes to the Terms
We may suspend or stop providing access to the site if we believe you have violated these Terms or are using the site in a harmful or unlawful way.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or best practices. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
